Div de Villiers, born 1961, is a creative woodworker, sculptor, cabinetmaker, boatbuilder who has been working with wood in various ways for more than 20 years. Traditional skills and woodworking knowledge combined with exposure to the cultural influences of many different countries, mix in a good dose of artistic talent, and the result is unique to say the least. Div does not favour indigenous woods over lesser exotics and feels that the slow-growing indigenous timbers serves much better as a living tree.

He has successfully exhibited at various galleries, both locally and internationally and his work can be seen in private collections all over the world.
